LHSAA WELCOMES GREG LEO TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Greg Leo, LHS Class of 1970

For the last twenty-five years, Greg has operated The Leo Company, LLC, a Marketing, Public and Governmental Affairs Advocacy firm he founded in 1997, consulting with local governments, Native American tribes, corporations, non-profit corporations and individuals in the strategic management of public policy, communications and marketing projects.

Greg was Class President his Senior year and chaired the LHS 197O class reunion on August 6th. During this time, he worked with LHSAA's Reunion Services and became acquainted with the many facets of our alumni association. In September Greg was invited to join the LHSAA Board and unanimously appointed by the Board of Directors. The Board is grateful and excited to have Greg's extensive commerce and public relations knowledge and experience.

An Inspirational New Home for Lincoln High

This new 21st-century learning environment will provide Lincoln’s student population with modern facilities, programs and opportunities for success. The six-story school features two theaters, band and choir studios, two gyms, and a student commons with an outdoor plaza that provide a welcoming and interactive space for all students to gather.  Additional highlights include enhanced arts facilities, STEM / Maker Spaces, upgraded science labs, and specialized Career Technical Education facilities.

The second and final phase of the rebuild project is now underway with the demolition of the old Lincoln High School building.  It is making way for a new track and field that will include a 1,500-seat grandstand. These facilities will open in the fall of 2023.

The Lincoln High School staff and students, PPS, and the Office of School Modernization thank Portland voters for the passage of the 2012, 2017 and 2020 School Bonds. These bonds allow PPS to continue the vital work of upgrading the health, safety and functionality of our aging school buildings.  For more information about PPS bond projects, please visit the PPS Bond webpage.
